Aishu Nagasunder

Hi there!

I am an actor, director, and creator currently based in the Twin Cities and Chicago.

Through my involvement in Theatre and Film, I strive to tell stories that people are passionate about—creating art that is meaningful and impactful.

I plan to be based in LA in 2025.

About My Work

  • I graduated in Fall 2024 from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities with degrees in Theatre Arts and Communication Studies and a minor in Studies in Cinema and Media Culture. I have been acting for about 12 years now, and my passion for it continues to grow. I did many school and community theatre productions when I was younger, and since then have been doing college and professional theatre along with acting workshops/programs whenever I can. In the past 4 years, I have begun pursuing film as well---I plan to move to LA in 2025 to continue to pursue both Film and Theatre professionally. I am currently signed with DDO Artists in LA for Theatrical, Stage, and Voiceover. For Minneapolis commercial/on-camera work, I am signed with Moore Creative Talent and Agency Models and Talent. • I have had an interest in directing for a long time, but I never thought about actually pursuing it until recently. I have assistant directed a professional theatre production in the Twin Cities with Lyric Arts and Exposed Brick Theatre, directed K-12 summer drama programs, and have taken directing classes to hone my craft. For my senior capstone at the University of Minnesota, I wrote and directed a full-length play that I adapted from Shakespeare’s Hamlet with a feminist twist. While acting has always been something that I've been passionate about and will continue to pursue, being a director has opened me up to a new world of theatre and film, and I cannot wait to continue to explore this part of myself as an artist. If you'd like to get in touch with me about directing work, please contact me directly at aishunaga5@gmail.com!

  • I have been involved in theatre education for about 4 years now! I've taught and directed K-12 summer drama camps along with teaching after-school theatre classes. I have worked with Waukesha West Summer Drama Academy, Waukesha Civic Theatre, and Character Kids. I would love to continue working as a theatre educator whenever I can, so contact me directly at aishunaga5@gmail.com if you'd like to connect about these jobs!
